The purpose of NBN's online channel was to inform the diverse user audience about the rollout of the National Broadband Network across Australia, and how providers and the public could get connected.
The visual designs, interactions and user story modules were developed to surface relevant content about the staged release and related information, engage users with rich interaction, and provide quick access to current news and events.
Designed a user experience that improved the visibility of products and brands, providing a seamless journey to browse, find a product and make a purchase.
Reviewed and evaluated the existing site information architecture and recommended improvements to surface essential content. Created visual designs and interactions, and developed templates and styles for the different page types, content modules and global navigation.
Project managed the production deliverables and timelines including content population, resource allocation and coordination, and stakeholder reviews and sign-offs.
Reviewed the information architecture to recommend solutions for searching investment funds and related information. Developed user test case scenarios and managed the UAT phase to ensure key stakeholders were engaged, feedback was incorporated and a successful product was delivered on launch date.
Led the user experience design for Plus7, a new catch-up TV destination offering video streaming of full length episodes as seen on Seven, 7TWO and other content partners. Researched and developed the solutions to surface and present TV Show content and related episodes.
Designed the home page, video page templates, key user interactions and MyShows (a customised playlist which users could manage from anywhere within the site). These were refined through several rounds of usability testing.
Delivered an innovative and engaging user experience with Plus7 aimed at becoming one of Australia’s popular online destinations.
Redesigned the Yahoo!7 News property to improve user engagement, flexibility in advertising, and reusability of templates and modules across other properties. Reviewed research to understand audience usage patterns.
Designed the news home page, index and article pages including page structure, universal header and navigation, editorial modules, article layout with embedded video and related content, and commenting and share tools.
Branded Yahoo!7 News as the primary online news destination for 7 media content. Launch of 7 News reached its highest figures for audience and traffic.
Design Lead for the redevelopment of The West Australian news site on Yahoo!7's technology platform to increase user engagement and improve readability of news content.
Audited the existing site to identify areas of the information architecture that needed restructuring. Designed detailed visual mocks for the news home and section home pages, news index and article pages, image gallery and opinion pages, and regional newspaper titles.
Worked collaboratively with business stakeholders and teams to ensure client expectations were met for product launch. First month's traffic exceeded projections.
Redesigned a key Yahoo!7 frontpage module (Stay in/Go out) to increase user engagement and partner advertising. This involved the visual design of mocks and interactions based on logical user tasks and scenarios.
A tab system was developed to surface engaging content within one click. This allowed the user to interact with the product in different ways and assist their decision-making process before moving on to other Yahoo!7 properties.
Energex introduced the Energy Institute as an innovative concept to inform consumers about energy efficiency. The HomeConnect and HomeSelect web sites were developed to provide users with a tool to manage household electricity costs, and school children with an education resource.
Developed the design concepts, information architecture, data flows for user tasks, and illustrations. A shopping cart feature was designed to capture information as users navigated the site and selected appliances to calculate household energy usage.
Delivered an engaging product experience to support the positioning Energex was taking in a changing marketplace.
Designed the Pacific Motorway information site which accessed the first online traffic monitoring system for Queensland and provided updates to the public on the motorway upgrade and traffic flow conditions. Created the online identity co-branded with the Department of Main Roads and other illustrations.
Developed functional prototypes to test the site design and content delivery across browsers and platforms. Optimised the viewing of images delivered from live motorway cameras to the web site. Participated in the launch of the traffic control centre to government and the community.
Developed the concepts for the Inoxcrom, Artex and Miquelrius web sites using a consistent grid to showcase the brands' imagery and product photography. Designed page templates that were varied to introduce uniqueness for each brand.
Developed the functional requirements for an online product catalogue and ordering facility.
