I joined CITEC in 1995 through the Graduate Program where my responsibility was working with emerging technologies to provide integrated Internet solutions to Queensland State Government agencies and corporate organisations such as Energex, Department of Main Roads, Department of Public Works and Housing, and QSuper. This role enabled me to develop a core set of skills in usability design, project management and team leadership.
I operated my own creative studio from 1998 to 2007, providing a range of design and consulting services to agencies and clients such as Swagman Motorhomes, Honda Indy Travel and Inoxcrom Artex. During this time, I began working more extensively in visual design for print media, corporate identity design and brand development.
Working as a User Experience Designer and Project Manager in Sydney from 2009 to 2011 offered me the opportunity to lead projects for high traffic media destinations (7 News, The West Australian, Plus7, Yahoo!7), online shopping sites (Appliances Online), investment banking sites (AMP Capital Investors) and Federal Government initiatives (NBN).
